A fitness coach has shared a simple tip for shedding belly fat, recommending a 20-minute incline walk instead of lengthy cardio sessions. Brandon Palmer, a popular trainer, advises walking or jogging at speed three on a 15 per cent incline at the end of a workout to maximise fat burn and tone the body.
Palmer's advice has resonated with many fitness enthusiasts who are tired of spending hours on cardio with minimal results. The incline routine engages more muscles, particularly in the lower body and core, while efficiently boosting heart rate.
Social media users have praised the approach, with some noting its similarity to hiking. One commenter shared their own routine of walking at a 15 incline with light weights for 45 minutes. However, others cautioned that a 15 per cent incline may be too steep for some, advising to start slowly and find a manageable intensity.
Combined with a balanced diet, this 20-minute routine could transform fitness journeys. Australian dietitian Leanne Ward also emphasised that diet plays a crucial role, noting that over-exercising can lead to fatigue and increased hunger, hindering progress.
