Junior Andre Reveals Extent of 'Disgusting' Abuse Harvey Price Faces from Cruel Trolls

Junior Andre has shared that he finds it profoundly sad that his older brother Harvey Price faces a barrage of abusive and disgusting comments on social media from cruel trolls. In a heartfelt revelation, the budding musician opened up about the distressing online harassment targeting Harvey, who has Prader-Willi Syndrome, septo-optic dysplasia causing blindness, and autism.

Heartbreaking Admission on Reality Show

During the first episode of the second series of Princess Andre's reality show, The Princess Diaries, Junior spoke directly to the camera about the abuse his sibling endures due to his disability. He commented, "Harvey is the best person so it's sad when people have horrible things to say. He gets so many abusive disgusting comments online. And he can't even defend himself. The good thing is he won't read it. But for those around him, it's not nice at all." Junior emphasized that despite the pain from these sickening messages, Harvey is surrounded by love, stating, "He is surrounded by love, love is all he knows."

Siblings Unite in Support and Care

Princess Andre, 18, also featured in the episode, describing a fun day out with her two older brothers, Junior, 20, and Harvey, 23. She said, "Today is going to be quite a fun day, I'm going out with my two older brothers, Junior and Harvey. We're going to take Harvey on the train because he loves trains, so this is going to be a cute little day out - I feel like we don't do it enough." Reflecting on their growing ability to care for Harvey independently, Princess added, "A few years ago, me and Junior would not have been able to take Harvey out without mum being there. Now he's gone to a residential school, I feel like he's been disciplined a lot more. I think he understands a bit more how to communicate with his emotions."

Challenges and Teamwork in Managing Triggers

Princess went on to explain some of the challenges they face when out with Harvey, noting, "Some of his triggers when we are out are like doors banging, or if there's no food or anything. The only thing is, once he does kick off, you need a lot of strength and you need to learn how to talk to him in order to help him calm down. With me, I'm good at the talking and kind of relaxing him, whereas Junior is a lot better at the physical side of it. Honestly, we work well as a team." This teamwork highlights the siblings' dedication to supporting Harvey amidst the external negativity.

Katie Price's Campaign Against Trolling

Harvey's mother, Katie Price, has been a vocal advocate against online abuse, previously speaking out about the extent of trolling he faces and vowing to hold perpetrators accountable. Writing for The Independent, Katie asserted, "No troll should retain the right to be able to hide behind their abusive, malicious posts. This is for the public good – but it's also personal. I will leave no stone unturned – I won't stop until all of those who bully and victimise people like Harvey are exposed and held accountable." She added, "Social media can draw us together and make positive changes, but it can be harmful, too. We’ve all experienced cruelty online – some, like my son, more than others."

Call for Action and Legal Accountability

Katie Price has been a driving force behind social media changes due to trolling, emphasizing the need for stricter measures. She stated, "Now is the time for action to be taken on trolls. The people who say such horrible things to strangers – particularly disabled children – deserve to be tracked and traced, and the judicial system able to enforce punishment." This call to action underscores the severity of the issue, as Harvey's case has even seen officers from the Metropolitan Police sacked for exchanging cruel messages in a WhatsApp group chat, highlighting the pervasive nature of such abuse.

Despite the ongoing challenges, the Andre family remains united in their love and support for Harvey, showcasing resilience in the face of adversity while continuing to raise awareness about the harmful effects of online trolling on vulnerable individuals.
