Social media stars Portable and Carter Efe are set to settle their feud in a boxing match tonight in Lagos, Nigeria. The event, organised by former world champion Amir Khan, marks Africa's first influencer fight and will see the rivals, who boast a combined social media following of over 10 million, face off in the main event.
The undercard features British interest as welterweight Michael McKinson takes on undefeated Algerian prospect Mohammad Sahnoun. Ghanaian viral star Elvis Ahorgah, who previously fought British boxers Callum Simpson and Tyler Denny, will face Newcastle's Joe Laws.
The fight is scheduled to take place tonight in Lagos, with proceedings expected to start around 6pm UK time (same as local time in Nigeria). The main card is anticipated to begin at 7pm, with ring walks for the main event around 10pm.
The event will be broadcast live and exclusively on DAZN for existing subscribers. DAZN's annual pass costs £15.99 per month or £119.99 annually, offering access to over 185 fights per year, plus MMA, BKFC and Misfits crossover boxing.
Both fighters have exchanged heated words ahead of the bout. Portable warned: 'I’m warning Efe not to risk his life going into the ring with me because I will not show him any mercy.' Carter Efe responded: 'You can’t beat me. You are scared of me — when we meet in the ring, I will beat you. One punch and you fall.'
