The Traitors star Charlotte Berman has given birth to a baby girl, sharing the happy news with fans on Friday. The 33-year-old, who participated in the third series of the hit BBC One show last year, posted a snapshot of her newborn on social media.
Charlotte and Alexander Welcome Zoe
Beaming Charlotte held baby Zoe in her arms while her partner Alexander stood beside her. Alongside the photos, she wrote: 'She's here, our little Zoe.' Charlotte also shared a picture of the local newspaper where she and Alexander had announced Zoe's birth. It read: 'On 21st April 2026 to Charlotte Zara Louise and Alexander Thomas Helby, a daughter Zoe Clara Florrie. So wanted and so loved.'
Outpouring of Support
Among the first to comment on her joyous announcement was host of The Traitors Claudia Winkleman, replying with several love heart emojis. Charlotte was also flooded with well wishes from fans, who wrote: 'Aw congratulations both of you, how wonderful'; 'Truly the best news, wanted and loved'; 'So happy for you both'; 'So happy to see this, Charlotte. Huge congrats.'
Journey to Motherhood
Charlotte announced she was expecting her first child on New Year's Eve, reflecting on an 'incredible' year. She penned at the time: 'WELL. 2025 began with *that* Welsh accent and the most insane experience on the Traitors. It's been wild And it's ending with the biggest adventure on the horizon... A little festive round-up and to share that we hope very much to meet a little one this spring... quietly excited, one day very much at a time.'
Charlotte had previously opened up about her fertility struggles with fans on and off The Traitors. Asked what she would use the prize money for if she won, prior to the final, she said: 'Firstly I really want to go on a safari holiday, and then the second thing is, slight trouble with having a baby so want to put some money towards that.' She then joked: 'But maybe the safari holiday will negate the need.'
Life After The Traitors
Charlotte was deemed by many as an 'evil genius' for her service as a Traitor on the BBC show. She initially portrayed a sunny character from Wales, quickly forming friendships with her 'trusting accent'. Despite being a Faithful for most of the series, she was later recruited, revealing a web of lies, dastardly schemes, and duplicitous tactics for betraying fellow Traitors. However, it was game over in the final when the other four remaining players voted her out.
On Charlotte's Instagram account, she says she enjoys cooking and 'countryside rambles' near her home in Hampshire, where she recently moved from London. The happy couple, Alexander and Charlotte, have a black Labrador Bobbie, aged four, and have travelled extensively to places including New Zealand, Canada, and France.
Writing in The Telegraph during her time on The Traitors, Charlotte's childhood friend Eleanor Steafel, who has known her for nearly 30 years, opened up about her real-life personality. Eleanor insisted her friend is 'fiercely loyal' in real life, despite the backstabbing witnessed on the show. She said: 'She is – always has been, in fact – unlike anyone else I have ever met. She's funny and loud and quirky. She's fiercely loyal, quick to laugh and to cry (usually she's doing both at the same time).' Eleanor added that Charlotte loves dogs, 80s jumpers, Battenberg Cake, and Mamma Mia, and has a terrific memory. She concluded: 'She's the same person. She's just doing a Welsh accent.'
