Irish presenter Vogue Williams has made surprising revelations about her age-defying appearance on the latest episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, confessing to multiple cosmetic procedures after expressing feelings of insecurity in the Australian jungle.
Jungle Beauty Confessions
The 40-year-old media personality, who entered the jungle earlier this week alongside Tom Read Wilson, 39, found herself in an unexpected conversation about cosmetic enhancements with fellow campmate Ruby Wax during Friday night's show. This came after Vogue admitted to feeling 'so ugly' following her first full day of enduring the camp's challenging conditions, including extreme heat, poor sleeping arrangements, and unpleasant toilet facilities.
Vogue confessed that everyone in camp seemed 'so good looking', which contributed to her feelings of insecurity. However, Ruby Wax quickly countered this by telling her: 'You're the prettiest person I've ever seen in my life.' This compliment prompted Vogue to reveal she had permanent liner tattooed onto her lips, which then led Ruby to inquire about other procedures she might have undergone.
Cosmetic Procedures Revealed
Without hesitation, Vogue disclosed: 'Loads of Botox!' to which Ruby responded enthusiastically: 'Oh really? I've got a lot of that too!' The conversation continued later in the Bush Telegraph, where Ruby reflected on her own experiences with cosmetic work, recalling a conversation with Jennifer Saunders about whether such procedures were noticeable.
Meanwhile, the camp dynamics continued to develop as Vogue and Tom took on leadership roles, assigning camp duties and choosing which celebrities would face particular challenges. They designated Kelly Brook and Martin Kemp as camp chefs, put Ruby Wax and Lisa Riley on washing up duty, and assigned Eddie Kadi and Angry Ginge to water collection, among other roles.
Pre-Jungle Preparations and Voting Concerns
Before entering the jungle, Vogue had expressed concerns about maintaining her fitness routine, revealing on her Vogue & Amber podcast with her sister that she typically works out five times a week with a personal trainer. She had planned to continue exercising in camp, stating: 'I'm going to be having little gym classes I've decided. I can't lose this ass that's taken so long to build... I'm just going to keep squatting my way around the jungle.'
However, a potential challenge for Vogue's longevity in the competition has emerged. As the Dublin-born star's fanbase is primarily in the Republic of Ireland, where viewers cannot vote in the ITV show, her stay could be threatened. On her podcast, recorded before her jungle appearance was announced, Vogue made a direct appeal: 'Anyone listening to this, please vote. And Irish people you're not allowed to vote so if you have any English friends, cousins or colleagues tell them to vote. Support the Irish, go on girls.'
The episode also saw Tom and Vogue selecting four badge winners - Kelly, Lisa, Ginge, and Jack Osbourne - who were treated to a special campfire gathering at Snake Rock featuring marshmallows and hot chocolate.
