Jack Fincham Reveals £1m Loss and 'Painful Mistakes' After Love Island Fame
Love Island's Jack Fincham lost £1m after fame

Former Love Island champion Jack Fincham has delivered a raw and honest account of his life since finding fame, confessing to losing a staggering £1 million and making a series of painful errors.

From Reality Star to Rock Bottom

The 34-year-old shot to prominence in 2018 when he won the hit ITV2 show and began a highly publicised relationship with his co-star, Dani Dyer. However, in a candid new Instagram post, Fincham revealed that the years following his television success have been fraught with difficulty.

"I’ve been quiet for a long time — maybe too long," he wrote. "Truth is, I haven’t known what to say. I lost over £1 million chasing the wrong things — and in the process, I lost over a million followers too. That hurt. But I get it."

A Candid Confession and Legal Troubles

Fincham admitted he was "lost, struggling, and making the kind of mistakes that feel impossible to come back from." His struggles have been well-documented, including a recent brush with the law where he narrowly avoided prison last year after being arrested while serving a suspended sentence.

His legal issues included a previous jail term for being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog that attacked a runner and mauled a woman. Although he was freed on bail the same day he appealed, his legal woes continued with an additional three months added to his suspended sentence.

Substance Abuse and The Road to Recovery

In a supporting video, Fincham elaborated on his difficulties, stating he took "a lot of bad advice" and was surrounded by "the wrong people." He has also been open about his stint in rehab following a drug relapse.

The reality star confessed he struggled to cope with his newfound wealth and fame, spending money on alcohol and class A drugs. He revealed he was taking at least 30 diazepam pills a day to manage his anxiety.

"I’ve made some massive mistakes," he told the camera. "I’ve learnt some really, really proper painful, really painful lessons over the years. Every mistake that I’ve made, I own them all... I ain’t a victim."

A New Chapter and YouTube Comeback

Now, from what he describes as "rock bottom," Fincham is determined to rebuild his life and career. He announced he has started a YouTube channel where he plans to document his journey back to stability.

"What this new chapter is about, it’s about showing you what it’s like to start from absolutely rock bottom," he explained. "Which is where I’m at now... I want to show you what it’s like, that with the right mindset, the right people around you, absolutely anything is possible."

While acknowledging he doesn't have everything figured out, Fincham insists he now knows who he wants to be, marking a new beginning for the Love Island star.
