Gentle Giant Goofy Desperately Needs a UK Home for Constant Cuddles
Cuddle-Addicted Dog Needs UK Home Before January Deadline

A lovable dog described as a "gentle giant" faces an uncertain future after being repeatedly overlooked by potential adopters due to his overwhelming need for affection and cuddles.

One-year-old Goofy, a Great Dane cross currently in the UAE but ready to travel to Britain, has captured hearts but not found a permanent home despite his friendly nature and compatibility with other dogs.

The Search for a Forever Home

Rescued by animal welfare organisation Miracle's Mission, which specialises in helping sick, injured and disabled animals worldwide, Goofy has been waiting for someone to see past his large size to his even larger heart.

"Goofy is a little over a year and a half old, a large-sized sweetheart with an even bigger heart," reads a statement from the charity. "Though his size might make you think he's tough, he's truly a gentle giant through and through."

The playful dog adores human company and gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes, even those smaller than him. His happiness proves contagious, with the charity noting he "lights up the moment he meets someone new."

A Dog with Specific Needs

What sets Goofy apart - and possibly what's making finding him a home more challenging - is his particular requirement for evening cuddles and constant attention.

He walks well on a leash and enjoys outdoor adventures, always eager to explore and play. Yet his truly content moments come when he's receiving fuss and affection from his human companions.

The charity describes him as "affectionate, cuddly and full of life," the type of dog who transforms ordinary moments into cherished memories filled with laughter and love.

While Goofy loves children, the charity advises that introductions should be supervised as he might become overly excited and jump up. He needs time to learn family routines and appropriate behaviour.

Race Against Time

The situation has become urgent as Goofy must find a home in the UK before January 26. Despite his many qualities, when his rehoming application appeared on Facebook, it attracted just a single comment expressing interest.

Miracle's Mission, founded in 2015, aims to provide safety for animals in danger while educating about the importance of neutering both pets and strays. The charity takes its name from Miracle, a puppy rescued from the streets of Borneo at just one week old who made a remarkable recovery despite dire beginnings.
