Irish television presenter Vogue Williams has made a surprising revelation about her family's involvement in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, confirming she doesn't want her three young children flying to Australia for the traditional bridge greeting.
Family Decision Sparks Conversation
The 40-year-old media personality, married to former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, shared her reasoning during an episode of her popular podcast, My Therapist Ghosted Me. Williams explained that while the show often flies family members out to greet contestants who progress far in the competition, she has specifically requested that her husband doesn't bring their children.
'My kids won't come out to greet me,' she stated firmly. 'If you get quite far, sometimes they fly your family out. But my kids are very young and they're in school and I will have to deal with the fallout of very little children flying that long for two days so I've asked for Spencer not to bring them out.'
Williams expressed uncertainty about whether her husband might change his mind, adding another complication to the family plans. 'Whether he changes his mind, I don't know,' she admitted. 'Also Spencer might not be there because he's doing his project Seven in Seven. He finishes in Antarctica on the 7th and I finish on the 8th December.'
Jungle Life Brings Physical Toll
While Williams navigates the emotional challenges of being separated from her family, the physical demands of jungle life have become increasingly apparent. I'm A Celebrity viewers expressed concern during Monday's episode after spotting a bandage wrapped around the presenter's knee.
Social media platforms, particularly X (formerly Twitter), buzzed with questions about the unexplained injury. 'What the hell did Vogue do to her leg and knee?' one concerned viewer posted, while another noted, 'What has Vogue done to her knee? Looks painful.'
The Irish presenter hasn't addressed the knee injury on screen, leaving fans to speculate about its origin. Daily Mail has contacted ITV for comment regarding the matter.
Williams isn't the only campmate showing visible signs of the jungle's harsh conditions. Earlier episodes revealed similar concerns about other celebrities, including glamour model Kelly Brook, who displayed noticeable red marks on her neckline.
Campmate Health Concerns Multiply
The health worries extend beyond Williams's bandaged knee. During Friday's episode, viewers noticed prominent red marks on Kelly Brook's neck, which the former glamour model hasn't explained. Social media responses ranged from concern to speculation about insect bites.
'Why is Kelly's neck all red? Is it bitten?' one fan questioned, while another observed, 'Them mosquitos been feasting of Kelly's neck!'
The pattern continued with rapper Aitch, whose real name is Harrison James Armstrong, also showing a visible mark on his neck during Sunday's episode. This series of unexplained marks and injuries has prompted increased discussion about the physical challenges contestants face in the Australian jungle.
Earlier in the series, Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley sparked similar concern when she appeared with a swollen and reddened left eye. Fans quickly took to social media to express their worry about the visible discomfort, though Riley didn't mention any specific issue during the episode.
While the show's medical team closely monitors all campmates, the visible toll of jungle life continues to be a talking point among dedicated viewers of the ITV programme.
Back in London, Williams's three children - Theodore, seven, Gigi, five, and Otto, three - remain at the family home under the care of Vogue's mother, Sandra, while both parents are away. Williams finds herself in the jungle alongside campmates including Kelly Brook, 45, Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp, 64, and social media star Angry Ginge, 24.
During her podcast, Williams also reflected on personal history, suggesting her first marriage to Westlife's Brian McFadden was influenced by grief following her father Freddie's death fifteen years ago. 'When you're grieving, you're a different person to who you usually are,' she shared. 'You've got to be careful of the grief, I'm convinced I got married the first time because of the grief.'
The couple were married for five years between 2012 and 2017 before separating, with Williams citing long-distance challenges and her struggles with her father's death as contributing factors to the split.
As the competition continues, viewers will watch to see how Williams manages both the emotional distance from her family and the physical demands of jungle life, with the presenter already making difficult decisions to protect her children's wellbeing despite the potential for a joyful reunion on the famous I'm A Celebrity bridge.
