Tess Daly, the 53-year-old presenter of Strictly Come Dancing, has shared the secrets behind her enviable figure after posting a stunning swimsuit photo on Instagram. The snap, taken while shooting for beachwear brand Naia Beach, left fans and fellow celebrities amazed by her flawless appearance.
In an interview with Health & Wellbeing magazine, Daly revealed that her fitness routine is simple and enjoyable. She starts her day with five minutes of skipping, which she describes as 'a brilliant way to wake up – better than a cup of coffee'. She also enjoys yoga, swimming, and trampolining, noting that she doesn't like sweating much, so she opts for gentle exercises.
Daly explained that skipping is an all-weather exercise that gets the circulation going and keeps her trim. 'It's a joyful exercise that puts a smile on your face,' she said. 'I recommend it to everyone I know because it's easy and it reminds you of being a child again.' She also uses a trampoline at home to boost her lymphatic system and circulation.
In addition to physical activity, Daly has embraced meditation. She sets her alarm 20 minutes earlier to have quiet time before the rest of her family wakes up. 'I'll get up at 6.20am and have half an hour to myself,' she said. 'I can go over the day, sit with myself quietly, meditate for 20 minutes, and it really helps calm your entire outlook for the day.'
