It has been one of the biggest trends of summer, and Jessica McNamee continued the naked dressing theme as she attended the Mortal Kombat II premiere in Sydney on Monday night.
The 39-year-old revealed her underwear in a sheer long black gown which featured a delicate train, jewelled buttons, and a cowl neckline. Jessica completed her sizzling 'nude dress' look with matching high-waisted underwear.
The former Packed to the Rafters star opted for a full-glam makeup look, including gold eyeshadow, a touch of rose-red blush, and red lipstick. She had her long blonde locks styled in loose waves and let her dress do the talking by going accessory-free for the fan event at the IMAX theatre in Pyrmont.
Jessica returns as her character Sonya Blade, a 'kick-ass' Special Forces officer, in Mortal Kombat II. Based on the 1992 video game, Mortal Kombat is an action fantasy series that made its big screen debut in 1995. Jessica starred in the 2021 reboot and admitted that her parents would not allow her to play the video game as a teen.
'But I did play it at my cousin's house and I didn't tell my parents; they still don't know,' she told The Daily Telegraph ahead of her debut in the series. Jessica also gave her reaction to the 2021 release: 'It's pretty action-packed, it's non-stop. I was exhausted just watching it - in a good way,' she said. 'It's really fun, and you're on the edge of your seat the whole time, and I knew what was happening, I knew the story, and I was still on the edge of my seat.'
Also returning from 2021's Mortal Kombat are Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Aussie actor Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, and Mehcad Brooks as Jax. The sequel follows the story where a mysterious realm known as Outworld has defeated the humans of Earthrealm in nine straight tournaments of Mortal Kombat.
Mortal Kombat II was produced Down Under and filmed in Adelaide by Aussie director Simon McQuoid, who also directed the earlier film.
Now based in the US, Jessica has built a successful screen career after appearing in Home and Away in 2007. She became a fan favourite in Seven's soapie Packed to the Rafters before making her Stateside TV debut in White Collar in 2013. Her breakthrough role came with the comedy series Sirens (2014-2015). Jessica's movie roles include the big-screen reboot of CHIPS (2017) and the 2018 science fiction film The Meg. She won plaudits for her role as Aussie tennis great Margaret Court in the real-life 2017 comedy-drama Battle of the Sexes.
