Comedian and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! star Seann Walsh has been forced to cancel a series of live performances after falling seriously ill while travelling, delivering the news to fans with his trademark candid honesty.
Ferry Sickness Forces Show Cancellations
The comic, who won a new legion of fans during his stint in the jungle, took to Instagram on 6th December 2025 to share a grim health update. He revealed he had to pull out of his scheduled shows in Torquay and Exmouth after a sudden turn for the worse.
"I'm sorry to report I am ill again and therefore will not be appearing in Torquay tonight & Exmouth tomorrow," Walsh wrote. He explained the severity of the situation, stating, "I threw up on the ferry last night and was parked up at Fleet services today unable to drive home. Not ideal to be honest with you."
In a reflection on the demands of his profession, the 39-year-old added, "It's a very odd line of work when you have to essentially call in sick to the public." He apologised to disappointed ticket holders and promised to take it easier in the coming year.
A String of Terrifying London Ordeals
This health scare comes shortly after Walsh and Strictly Come Dancing professional Michelle Tsiakkas separately spoke out about frightening incidents they experienced in London.
Walsh described a disturbing moment when a stranger attempted to get into his car while he was stopped at a red light. Sharing the experience on Instagram, he wrote: "New in the adventures of living in London: today whilst waiting at the lights in my car, a guy walked up to my car, opened the passenger side door and went to get in."
Luckily, the lights changed and he was able to drive away. Walsh remarked, "It's beginning to feel like I'm living in Grand Theft Auto." This incident occurred just weeks after the comedian had his phone stolen in another mugging. He later discovered his device had been traced to China.
Strictly Dancer Targeted in Covent Garden
Meanwhile, professional dancer Michelle Tsiakkas, who joined the Strictly cast in 2022, shared her own traumatic mugging experience. In an Instagram video, she explained she was heading to a dentist appointment near Covent Garden when a man on an electric bike snatched her phone from her hand.
"I tried to reach for it, which made me fall and graze my knee," Tsiakkas said. "I screamed, 'Give me back my phone,' but he just rode off." She described feeling "awful, scared, helpless" and was helped by two kind women at the scene.
Legacy of Strictly Controversy
Seann Walsh first found fame on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, where he was partnered with professional dancer Katya Jones. His time on the show was overshadowed by controversy after the pair were photographed kissing during a night out, while Jones was married. Despite the scandal, they remained in the competition for several more weeks before elimination, creating one of the most talked-about moments in the show's history.
His recent openness about illness and crime highlights the continuing challenges faced by public figures both on and off the stage, endearing him to fans through his unfiltered approach to personal setbacks.
