Fresh from her jungle eviction, television personality Ruby Wax has not held back in sharing her candid thoughts on her former I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! campmates, specifically calling out two stars for their 'huge egos'.
Wax's Verdict on 'Vulnerable' Campmates with Big Egos
The 72-year-old star, who became the fifth celebrity to leave the camp on Wednesday, spoke openly on a podcast about her experience. When asked about the most shocking thing she learned, Wax immediately pointed to rapper Aitch and YouTube sensation Angry Ginge.
She expressed a fondness for both, noting she learned a lot about Ginge's life and found him 'quite vulnerable' beneath his exterior. Similarly, she appreciated Aitch's simple life goals of wanting 'a dog and a wife and a kid'. However, Wax then delivered her trademark cheeky analysis.
'They're just boys who want a normal life and a wife. A wife who will probably cater to them, because their egos are huge,' she stated, before adding triumphantly, 'I took them down a few pegs.'
Jungle Bonds and Bitter Disappointment
Despite her sharp tongue, Ruby Wax emphasised the strong bonds she formed in the jungle, particularly with Aitch and Ginge. Her exit, facilitated by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, clearly moved her as she discussed these new friendships.
This made the subsequent discovery of their 'milk bottle stealing fiasco' all the more disappointing for her. Furthermore, Wax is 'totally devastated' to have been voted out, stating she felt she 'belonged' in the jungle and loved her campmates deeply.
'I'm so upset I can't even tell you. I belong in that jungle. I want to go to my people,' she told This Morning. 'I didn't think it was going to be so adorable, I didn't know I'd love those people more than most people I know. I should have won!'
A Clear Winner Prediction and Final Showdown
Looking ahead to the final on Sunday, December 7, Wax has a firm favourite. She declared she feels 'sure' that Angry Ginge will be crowned the winner, describing him as a 'deserving winner' and even offering to put money on his victory.
Last year's champion, McFly's Danny Jones, is already in Australia to crown his successor. The remaining four contestants battling for the title are:
- Aitch
- Angry Ginge
- Shona McGarty
- Tom Read Wilson
While Ruby Wax may be out of the running, her unfiltered commentary from outside the camp ensures she remains a central part of the conversation as the I'm A Celebrity finale approaches.
