Pop superstar Miley Cyrus has officially revealed her stunning new engagement ring, confirming her commitment to long-term boyfriend Maxx Morando. The singer showcased the significant piece of jewellery while attending the premiere of Avatar at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre on Monday evening.
A Ring Designed with Unique Energy
The eye-catching ring features a custom-made elongated cushion-cut diamond, set in 14-karat yellow gold. Morando, 27, commissioned the piece for Cyrus, 33, from Los Angeles-based jewellery designer Jacquie Aiche. The designer's philosophy, as stated on her website, involves hand-selecting every gemstone for its unique energy and natural beauty, creating designs meant to empower and protect the wearer.
Expert analysis suggests the ring carries a substantial price tag. Olivia Landau, Founder & CEO of The Clear Cut, provided an appraisal to the Daily Mail, estimating the value could be in the $75,000 to $150,000 range if the centre stone is a natural diamond.

Landau described the ring as "a very of the moment take on a classic silhouette." She noted the centre stone appears to be 3-4 carats with a crushed ice faceting style, set in an east-west orientation. "The diamond is set east-west in a chunky bombe style bezel setting in yellow gold, a look that feels a little bit rock and roll, cool, and modern, while still reading as very bridal," Landau elaborated.
Another expert, Annie Chen, SVP of Merchandising at Brilliant Earth, offered a similar assessment. She suggested the ring likely features a 4 to 5 carat pale yellow elongated cushion diamond, with a comparable value of around $70,000 to $80,000.
From Blind Date to Engagement
The couple's romance began with a blind date in late 2021, though Cyrus later revealed in a 2023 British Vogue interview that it was "blind for me and not really for him." They confirmed their relationship the following year. This new chapter for Cyrus comes nearly two years after her divorce from actor Liam Hemsworth was finalised in January 2020. Their marriage lasted only eight months.
The engagement was seemingly confirmed by Morando's father, who posted congratulatory photos of the couple on Cyrus's 33rd birthday on November 23, where the ring was first visible. Cyrus attended the Avatar premiere as she contributed the ballad Dream As One to the film's soundtrack.
While the pair maintain a relatively private relationship, they have been spotted together at major events including the 97th Annual Academy Awards and the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in March. Cyrus has humorously referred to herself as a 'cougar' due to their six-year age gap but emphasises the positive dynamic it brings to their partnership.
