The Beckham family feud may reach a dramatic climax tonight as estranged brothers Brooklyn and Romeo are rumoured to attend the Met Gala in New York. The siblings have not spoken for over a year after Brooklyn, 27, skipped their father David's 50th birthday party with wife Nicola Peltz, 31, and later posted a bombshell Instagram statement declaring no desire for reconciliation.
Romeo, 22, was spotted in New York over the weekend at a pre-Met party with girlfriend Kim Turnbull, grinning widely. Kim, once a friend of Brooklyn's, previously defended herself against claims she was involved in the family rift, insisting she never dated the hot sauce entrepreneur.
Brooklyn and Nicola avoided last year's Met Gala amid the initial fallout, but both couples are expected to attend this year's event, raising the possibility of an awkward encounter. Brooklyn has remained estranged, missing key family moments including brother Cruz's debut gig in London.
Victoria Beckham recently broke her silence on the feud, telling reporters: 'We love our children so much. We've always tried to be the best parents we can be. All we've ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children.' She did not name Brooklyn directly. Reports suggest Brooklyn has blocked his parents and siblings on Instagram.
