Maya Jama and Ruben Dias Receive £60 Parking Fine in Luxury Lamborghini
Television presenter Maya Jama and her boyfriend, Manchester City footballer Ruben Dias, were issued a £60 parking fine on Tuesday as they headed to the gym in his £200,000 Lamborghini. The couple, who have been making the most of Ruben's international football break with a sunny getaway to Portugal, were spotted in Cheshire where the incident occurred.
Unfazed by the Fine
After Maya grabbed a coffee alone in Cheshire, showing off her curves in skimpy grey sportswear, she reunited with Ruben for lunch. Upon returning to the car, they discovered the parking ticket attached to the windscreen but appeared completely unfazed, driving off together without concern. The fine came as a minor inconvenience amid their recent activities, which included exploring Portuguese monuments and relaxing by a large pool during their holiday.
Recent Burglary at Their Mansion
This parking fine follows a more serious incident in January, when the couple's £4 million Cheshire home was burgled while Ruben was playing an away match against Galatasaray and Maya was in South Africa filming Love Island: All Stars. Thieves ransacked the mansion, stealing thousands of pounds worth of designer clothes, jewellery, and electronics, leaving the couple devastated.
The property, an Omaze prize-draw mansion won by mother Emily Ward with a £25 ticket, is a stunning 6,300 sq ft four-bedroom home with panoramic views, landscaped gardens, and a luxury indoor leisure suite. It was reportedly available to rent for around £20,000 a month and had state-of-the-art security systems, which the couple have since bolstered by hiring a Strongbox 24-hour security team to live in the garden as a deterrent.
Strengthening Security Measures
A source revealed that the couple asked a security firm to assess the property after the burglary, leading to the decision to implement live-in guards. This move reflects a growing trend among footballers who are adding security personnel to their entourages alongside private fitness coaches and chefs. Cheshire Police confirmed the burglary report and stated that enquiries are ongoing, urging anyone with information to come forward.
Despite these challenges, Maya and Ruben have continued to enjoy their time together, with Ruben posting 'Home recharge' from Portugal and Maya responding, '& now I never wanna leave Portugal.' The couple, who only recently moved into their first shared home, have expressed how special the property is to them, making the burglary particularly upsetting as it invaded their personal space.
