GMB Star Ranvir Singh Shares Rare Photo of Son

A Good Morning Britain star shared a sweet photo of her rarely-seen son during Monday's edition of the hit ITV programme. Hosts Ranvir Singh and Rob Rinder updated viewers on the latest news from across the UK and around the world. Later in the show, Ranvir and Rob spoke about a very special event they had attended the previous night.

Charity Event for Holocaust Survivors

"Last night, Ranvir and I had the privilege to go to the '45 Aid Society event - that's the charity my mum runs… It was a beautiful thing," Rob began. The '45 Aid Society was set up as a charitable organisation in 1963, and is run by volunteers. Its founders were a group of child Holocaust survivors, known as the Boys, who were brought to the United Kingdom after the end of World War II. The Boys wanted to give back to the society that had welcomed them.

Ranvir added: "It's to commemorate those young boys who were brought over. They couldn't find a thousand boys who survived, they found 737. There are so few of those survivors who remain in this country, they made their life in the Lake District and other parts of the world. I think we've got a picture with Arek Hersh." A picture of Ranvir with the Holocaust survivor was then shown on screen, alongside the star's 14-year-old son Tushaan, who she shares with her ex-husband Ranjeet Singh Dehal. Fans were floored after seeing how grown-up Tushaan now is.

Ranvir's Emotional Explanation

The star then explained: "My son came [to the event]. I don't often show my son's face on television, but I thought it was so important, so moving. We met more Holocaust survivors." This comes after Rob opened up about the horrific abuse he recently received from a young boy, following the antisemitic stabbings in Golders Green last week.

Rob Rinder's Experience

"Let me just share with you what happened to me the other night. We talked about whether I should share it because I don't want to become the subject of any stories. I went to a great school in the afternoon, a great state school," Rob candidly shared. "Later on the evening, [I was] with a friend, it was relatively late in the evening, we were walking along Carnaby Street, and a kid comes along on a bike and he stops. He could tell, he sort of clocked it was me, and he decided to spat out - I use that language liberally - his favourite lyric. Now, what was that lyric? Now, just to be clear, I'm going to use it and share it [with] people at home. It's in history books and people know. He said Heil Hitler at me, [laughed] and drove off. I want to be clear, I didn't feel threatened, I didn't feel like I was a victim in any way."

Elsewhere on today's show, Ranvir and Rob hosted a debate over whether the Royal Family should be transparent about their finances, after a report revealed that Prince William pays around £7m in tax, despite previously refusing to disclose his contributions. The stars also shared updates after three people died due to a suspected hantavirus outbreak on a cruise ship in the Atlantic Ocean. Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am.
