Timothée Chalamet Dances at Brazil Comic Con Amid Kylie Jenner Split Rumours
Chalamet's Brazil Comic Con Dance Fuels Jenner Split Talk

Hollywood star Timothée Chalamet delivered an energetic and spontaneous performance for fans at the Comic Con Experience (CCXP) in São Paulo, Brazil, on December 5, though his appearance was shadowed by continued speculation over the status of his relationship with Kylie Jenner.

A Spirited Promotion for 'Marty Supreme'

The 29-year-old actor was in the Latin American city to promote his upcoming film, Marty Supreme, which is scheduled for release on December 25. Chalamet, clearly feeding off the crowd's energy, broke into a dance inspired by Soulja Boy’s 2007 hit Crank That (Soulja Boy). He was dressed in a vibrant green and yellow jacket with blue track pants, colours that mirrored the Brazilian national flag.

Footage from the event, widely shared on social media platform X, showed the Dune star whipping off the jacket to reveal a grey hoodie with USA printed in red on the back, before tossing the outer layer into the enthusiastic audience. Not stopping there, he soon removed the sweatshirt as well, throwing it to a lucky fan and greeting the crowd in a white tank top with a spirited shout.

Jenner's Notable Absence Fuels Speculation

Conspicuously absent from the event was Chalamet's girlfriend, Kylie Jenner. The pair have not been seen together publicly for several weeks, leading to intensified rumours that their romance has cooled. The speculation began in earnest when Chalamet did not attend the lavish 70th birthday celebration for Jenner's mother, Kris Jenner, last month.

However, a source close to the couple told Us Weekly that his absence was due to work commitments. "He wasn’t at Kris' party because he is filming two huge projects right now and is working. He has been on set for Dune, but he and Kylie FaceTime every day," the source claimed, adding that things remain "very serious" between them.

Despite this, the rumours persist. The last time they were photographed together was on October 8, when they attended a baseball game at New York's Yankee Stadium. Chalamet has remained steadfastly private about the relationship, telling Vogue recently, "I will not talk about it... I don’t say that with any fear, I just don’t have anything to say."

Inside Chalamet's New Film and On-Screen Kiss

Chalamet's focus in Brazil was firmly on his new movie, Marty Supreme. In the film, he plays the titular Marty Mauser, a brash and ambitious young Jewish table tennis player hustling his way through 1950s New York City. The cast also includes Gwyneth Paltrow and Odessa A'zion.

Paltrow, who plays Chalamet's love interest, has spoken about filming an intimate scene with the actor in Central Park, which was captured by paparazzi. She revealed her children's amusing reactions to the kiss, telling Extra, "My daughter thought it was very bad-ass and my son was like, 'Oh, my God, Mom.' He was like, 'This is too much.'" Paltrow shares her two children with ex-husband Chris Martin.

While Chalamet and Jenner have been spotted together at high-profile events like the Golden Globes, the U.S. Open, and Knicks games since they were first romantically linked in April 2023, they have largely kept their relationship off social media and away from the red carpet. Whether the current silence signals a split or simply a private phase remains the subject of intense public curiosity.
