Tommy Robinson Detained at Heathrow, Begs for Funds

Far-right agitator Tommy Robinson has issued a plea for additional financial support after being detained at Heathrow Airport under counter-terrorism legislation. Robinson, whose legal name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, shared images of official documentation on his X account that 'advised' him of his detention.

Detention Under Counter-Terrorism Law

In a post beginning with the phrase 'I'M A TERRORIST AGAIN', the anti-immigration activist stated that his mobile phone was confiscated by police while he was held under Section 3 of the Counter-Terrorism and Border Security Act 2019. He included a link to his legal defence fund, commenting: 'So here we go again, looks like more defence and court fees ffs!!!'

This incident follows a previous encounter with counter-terrorism police in October last year, when Robinson claimed that costs related to that case were covered by supporter Elon Musk, who recently became the world's first trillionaire.

Recent Activities and Protests

Over the past two weeks, Robinson has been involved in encouraging violent demonstrations in Southampton and Belfast. He supported protests in Southampton after the sentencing of Henry Nowak's killer, which resulted in injuries to 12 police officers and a police dog. In Belfast, disorder backed by Robinson following a knife attack on Monday night led to widespread destruction, including buildings and vehicles set on fire and families being forced from their homes.

Claims of Free Speech Attack

An administrative post on X claimed that police 'likely want to see who he is talking to, and maybe find out who his sources are, sources who will expose politicians for their part in the rape of a generation of British girls'. The post described Robinson's detention as an 'attack on free speech' and an 'attack on investigative journalism'.

Robinson, the UK's most prominent far-right figure, has frequently claimed to be a journalist despite a prior conviction for contempt of court after repeating false allegations about a Syrian refugee. He faces another trial in October this year for denying two charges of harassment and causing fear of violence, aimed at two MailOnline reporters.

Meeting with Elon Musk's Father

Last week, Robinson posted a picture of himself meeting Errol Musk, Elon Musk's father, in Moscow. He told The Guardian: 'Russia is not the enemy of Britain. That narrative has long since died a natural death. There are those who benefit from pushing Russia as an enemy but everyone laughs at those people now.'
