Southall Stabbing: Victim Named as Police Appeal for Help

Police investigating the fatal stabbing of a man near London have released the victim's name as Gurbhej Singh. The 26-year-old suffered a knife wound on North Road, Southall, near the junction with Dormers Wells Lane on 10 June.

Metropolitan Police officers and paramedics attended the scene at 12.41am, where two men were found injured. Despite medical efforts, Mr Singh was pronounced dead at the scene. His family is being supported by specialist officers.

Second Victim and Arrests

A second man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged. Seven men, ranging from their early 20s to late 30s, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. Following further enquiries, six have been released with no further action, and one has been bailed pending return at a later date, the Met Police confirmed.

Police Appeal for Information

Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “Homicide detectives continue to investigate Mr Singh’s tragic death and my thoughts remain with his family and loved ones. We believe he was assaulted outside a shop at the junction of North Road and Dormers Well Lane at around 12.30am. I would urge anyone with CCTV covering the area, or who was in the area at the time and has not yet spoken to police, to please come forward and speak to police.”
