Police Swarm London Bridge Station After Reports of Suspicious Man

British Transport Police were called to London Bridge station on Monday evening following reports of a man behaving suspiciously on a train. The incident led to a temporary evacuation of the station, causing disruption to Thameslink and Southern Rail services.

Police received a call at around 6.30pm regarding a man acting suspiciously on a train from St Albans. The train was stopped at London Bridge while officers conducted a full search of the train and platform as a precaution. No one matching the description was found, and police have stated there is no risk to the public, though CCTV enquiries are ongoing.

Thameslink confirmed that London Bridge station was evacuated for a short period. In a statement, the rail operator apologised for any worry caused and confirmed the station had reopened for safe travel. However, some trains were delayed or had altered calling patterns, with delays expected until 8pm.
