Harrow Council Enforcement Officers Sacked After Threatening Public
Harrow Council Officers Sacked Over Threats to Public

Two enforcement officers contracted by a North London council have been dismissed after they were filmed threatening a member of the public. The duo worked for Kingdom Services Group and were deployed to Harrow Council in North West London.

Incident Details

Mobile phone footage captured the pair in a heated confrontation with a member of the public in Northolt Road, Harrow. The clip, which has been widely shared on social media, appears to show an officer switching off his colleague's body-worn camera before the pair launch into a diatribe against the man filming them.

One was heard to say: "When I'm not in uniform, I'm gonna knock you the f*** out and rip your teeth out. If I give you one punch I'll knock all your teeth out." The officer also said he would "throw you through the f****** walls."

Both officers in the clip appear to be wearing hoods over their bright purple enforcement bibs, alongside vests with body-worn cameras attached. One of the officers is heard to say: "We're gonna make sure you can't work no more and earn no money 'cause you're trying to butt in with our money. If I call a police officer for you, he'll f*** you up, you know, 'cause we work with them."

Response from Authorities

The chain of events leading up to the encounter is unknown, and the man who filmed the incident remains anonymous. Nevertheless, after the footage was shared, the men’s actions were condemned by both Harrow Council and Kingdom Services Group.

A Harrow Council spokesman said: "Swift action was taken as soon as the incident and complaint were raised to us and Kingdom in May, and the individuals involved no longer work for Kingdom. We take any instance of officers deliberately turning off body-worn cameras extremely seriously. Threats of violence towards members of the public are wholly unacceptable and will not be tolerated."

Kingdom Services Group spokesman added: "We are aware of the video circulating in relation to the serious conduct of two Kingdom Local Authority Support enforcement officers. As soon as the incident and subsequent complaint were brought to our attention in May, swift action was taken. The individuals concerned no longer work for Kingdom Local Authority Support."
