Family ‘utterly devastated’ after 13-year-old killed in Flitwick crash is named

The family of a 13-year-old boy who died in a crash in Bedfordshire has described their devastation, saying his death 'has left a hole in our lives that will remain forever'. Noah Campbell was killed in the collision on Greenfield Road, Flitwick, at 11.50pm on Friday.

Two other teenage boys were taken to hospital with serious injuries. One remains in a serious condition, while the other has been discharged. Noah's family paid tribute to him as 'fun, bright, handsome, athletic and incredibly well-liked', adding that he cherished time with friends and family and was a talented sportsman who excelled in football, rugby, cricket and athletics.

Jamie Fountain, 24, of Fir Tree Close, Flitwick, has been charged with causing death by careless driving, causing death by careless driving while over the legal limit for alcohol and drugs, two counts of causing serious injury by careless driving, failing to stop, failing to report an accident, and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Ellie Ireland, 23, of Wingate Drive, Ampthill, has been charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Both have been remanded to appear at Luton Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
