A new optical illusion is testing the eyesight of puzzle enthusiasts, with only those possessing razor-sharp vision able to spot a hidden panda. The black-and-white zigzag image, created by Russian artist Ilja Klemencov, challenges viewers to locate the endangered bear camouflaged within the pattern.
The illusion, titled 'They Can Disappear', carries a poignant message about the plight of pandas. According to the World Wildlife Fund, the current population of wild pandas is estimated at approximately 1,864, with habitat loss and infrastructure development threatening their survival.
To solve the puzzle, experts suggest squinting at the image until the panda becomes clear. For those struggling, reducing the brightness of the image can help reveal the hidden animal. The brainteaser serves as both a mental workout and a reminder of the species' vulnerability.
This optical illusion follows a trend of visual puzzles, including one challenging people to spot the number 994 among a sea of 964s, which is said to indicate a high IQ if solved within 10 seconds.
