Dog Fires Gun, Bullet Stopped By Gaming PC Saves Gamer

A PC gamer has shared an incredible story of how their rig saved their life after being fired upon by a neighbor's dog. This incident bears a striking resemblance to a previous event where a collection of Pokémon cards stopped a bullet, but this time, a gaming computer took the hit.

The Incident

According to a Reddit user named angelbabyzz, their gaming PC was struck by a bullet in the middle of the night. The sound of the shot and shattered glass woke them up. Miraculously, the bullet was deflected by the computer, preventing serious injury. The police investigation confirmed that the bullet hit the PC, which was located near the bed.

Neighbor's Explanation

The neighbor claimed that their dog accidentally discharged one of her guns. While angelbabyzz expressed some skepticism, they noted that the neighbor was extremely distraught, crying and apologizing repeatedly. The neighbor has since been charged with criminal negligence, and her gun has been confiscated. Her insurance is expected to cover the damages, but she has offered to pay out of pocket if necessary.

Aftermath and Reactions

Angelbabyzz stated that the neighbor is appropriately paying her dues through the criminal charge, loss of her gun, cost of replacement, and constant apologies. They do not plan to press for further action. The Reddit community responded with jokes about the incident being uniquely American and skepticism about the dog's involvement, but many are relieved no one was hurt.

Despite the damage, the PC may not be a total loss. Angelbabyzz mentioned that friends are inspecting it, and while the power supply unit and graphics processing unit appear undamaged, tiny bits of tempered glass may be difficult to remove. They humorously added, 'Mama wants a new GPU anyway so I’m not too mad.'
