The devastating incident occurred in the 67th minute of the Premier Liga encounter at Radnički's home ground in Kragujevac, sending shockwaves through the stadium and prompting the immediate abandonment of the game.

Medical staff rushed to attend to the 49-year-old coach after he suddenly collapsed near the technical area. Despite immediate resuscitation efforts and his swift transfer to Kragujevac's University Clinical Centre, doctors were unable to save him.
"It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform the public that our head coach, Mladen Žižović, passed away today during the match against Čukarički," the club announced in an emotional statement.
