Psychologist Reveals Why Trump's Cabinet Will Never Remove Him
A prominent psychologist has provided a stark explanation for why Donald Trump's administration will never invoke the 25th Amendment to remove him from the presidency, even if he becomes "a literal puddle of oatmeal". This comes after at least 70 US lawmakers, including senators and members of Congress, urged the cabinet to declare Trump unfit following his aggressive threats to "annihilate" Iran.
The 25th Amendment and Calls for Action
Added to the US Constitution in 1967, the 25th Amendment was designed to address presidential and vice presidential continuity issues. It allows the president to declare himself unfit or enables the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet to declare a president "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office". Despite repeated demands for its invocation, Dr John Gartner, speaking exclusively to The Mirror, asserts that Trump's team will never take this step.
Dr Gartner elaborated, stating, "They will never, and I mean never, even if he becomes a literal puddle of oatmeal, they will never invoke the 25th Amendment." He attributes this to the cabinet being "cowardly, corrupt and fanatical", and adds that they are "without conscience". According to him, they do not care about the country, the world, or humanity, but are instead "grifters, latching onto power, and they're afraid of him".
Trump's Cabinet and Elimination of Experts
Examining Trump's inner circle, Dr Gartner noted that the president has systematically removed experts across the government. He explained, "Trump has eliminated all of the experts across the government. That's actually his aim. Because what he realised in his first administration is experts can contradict you. The people that know the research, that know the history, that know the rules, can say 'sorry Mr President, we don't do that here'. Well, he got rid of all those people at all levels."
Lawmakers and Public Figures Demand Removal
Among those calling for Trump's removal is Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut, who stated on social media, "No President in control of his senses would publicly promise to eradicate an entire civilization. That's why I agree with Republicans who have put the 25th Amendment on the table. Trump seems to be taking us on a path to mass war crimes. That's a path we cannot accept."
Representative Ro Khanna of California reinforced this position, writing, "We need to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Trump. Threatening war crimes is a blatant violation of our constitution and the Geneva Conventions." He later added that "we need to use all options" to achieve this.
Pope Leo XIV also criticised Trump's handling of the Iran situation, calling the president's comments "truly unacceptable" after Trump warned that "a whole civilisation will die" before a ceasefire was announced. Following the ceasefire, Senate Democrat leader Chuck Schumer slammed Trump as "searching for any sort of exit" from his "ridiculous bluster".
Despite these widespread calls, Dr Gartner's analysis suggests that Trump's cabinet remains steadfast in their refusal to act, highlighting deep-seated issues of corruption and fear within the administration.
