DWP Confirms 3.8% PIP Payment Increase for April 2026

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has confirmed that Personal Independence Payment (PIP) will increase by 3.8% from April 2026. The daily living component will rise to £76.70 per week (standard rate) and £114.60 per week (enhanced rate). The mobility component will increase to £30.30 (standard) and £80 (enhanced) per week.

Claimants eligible for both components at the enhanced rate could receive up to £194.60 per week, equivalent to £10,119 annually. PIP is paid every four weeks, and the decision letter will specify the first payment date, payment day, award duration, and review schedule.

PIP is available to individuals aged 16 or over with a long-term physical or mental health condition or disability that affects daily living or mobility. Applicants must have resided in England, Scotland, or Wales for at least two of the past three years and be living in England or Wales at the time of application.

If a payment date falls on a bank holiday, the DWP advises that claimants will typically receive their payment before the holiday, with subsequent payments resuming as usual.
