She received the diagnosis just twenty minutes before filming one of her inaugural scenes for the Irish television series Fair City, where she is set to debut a new character named Lily. The actress plans to fly back to the United Kingdom this weekend for a series of critical medical tests. These will include examinations of her lymph nodes and glands. Following this, she is scheduled to undergo an operation and a course of radiotherapy.
Remarkably, Callard is determined to honour her professional commitments. She assured fans and colleagues that she will return to the Fair City set in just a few weeks after completing her initial treatment phase. This demonstrates her resilience and dedication to her new role.
