Donald Trump left onlookers fixated on an unexpected element of his physical appearance during a public appearance this week. The US President has maintained a high profile amid escalating tensions with Iran.
Social Media Focus on Trump's Hand
However, when he was photographed while seated during a public event, people's focus was drawn to something entirely different. Once the public spotted it on X, formerly Twitter, it sparked considerable debate.
Only days before, alarm was expressed regarding the President following allegations that he 'couldn't walk in a straight line', reports the Irish Star. Worries began to grow about the latest issue after an X user called Acyn brought the issue to light.
Detailed Image Raises Questions
He shared a detailed image of a particular area of Trump's body and made specific claims. He said: 'The President's hand is not looking too great.' In the image, what seems to be a bruise is evident on his hand, appearing rather inflamed. Additional footage shows the President apparently clasping his hands quite tightly while positioned at his desk.
The sighting has triggered extensive speculation online. One person said: 'It looks like they added a mannequin hand onto him!' Another posted: 'Not even trying to hide it. What's going on?'
A third wrote: 'OMG. What is wrong with his pointing finger? It looks like it's about to fall off his hand.' Meanwhile, another observer said: 'Trump doesn't do any physical labour. How did he get a wound like this?'
Someone else added: 'Look at his hand, and especially that finger! It's more than bruised!'
Previous Concerns and White House Response
Photos of Trump's right hand previously surfaced after he briefly spoke to journalists in Wisconsin earlier this month, ahead of a planned roundtable with rural farmers. At the time, the hand appeared discoloured and masked with concealer, sparking widespread concerns.
Amid rampant speculation, the White House previously commented on the issue, with Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt attributing the discolouration to handshaking.
