  • Actor and pop star Martin Kemp
  • Radio presenter and model Kelly Brook
  • Rapper Aitch
  • Former Lioness and football pundit Alex Scott MBE
  • Social media influencer Angry Ginge
  • EastEnders star Shona McGarty
  • Comedian Eddie Kadi
  • Emmerdale star Lisa Riley
  • TV personality Jack Osbourne

First Challenges: Sky's The Limit and Race Against Time

The celebrities were thrown into the deep end from the moment they landed in Australia, split into two groups for separate, harrowing initial trials.

The first group, consisting of Kelly Brook, Aitch, Eddie Kadi, Shona McGarty, and Martin Kemp, faced the 'Sky's The Limit' challenge. Their ordeal began with a skydive onto a beach where they were met by the iconic hosts, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly. Their task was to win a seat in the luxurious Getaway Car, securing a comfortable ride to camp, a steak dinner, and a comfy bed.

To achieve this, they had to wade through offal and slime to find tools to unlock five bolts on a wall. Success would release the key fob for the car, dangling from a rope. Martin Kemp added to the pre-show tension, revealing his competitive drive: "The pressure is on me to do a bit better than [my son Roman]! I’d love to say I don’t wanna win, but I do..."

The second group, comprising Ruby Wax, Lisa Riley, Angry Ginge, Alex Scott, and Jack Osbourne, were initially taken to a luxury villa. Their respite was short-lived, as they were soon confronted with the 'Race Against Time' challenge. With only two remaining seats in the Getaway Car, the stakes were incredibly high.

This trial was particularly gruesome. The celebrities were instructed to put their hands into a box filled with green ants to unscrew bolts that would release the key fob. To amplify the terror, they simultaneously had to place their heads inside a separate box, blind to their actions, which was then filled with snakes and other Australian creatures.

Don't miss the explosive start to the new series of I'm A Celebrity tonight at 9pm on ITV1, STV, and ITVX.
