Coronation Street star Jacob Roberts warns of 'chaotic' Corriedale twists
Corrie star teases 'chaotic' Emmerdale crossover twists

Coronation Street actor Jacob Roberts has issued an exclusive warning to fans, promising that the upcoming historic crossover with Emmerdale will deliver relentless, life-altering drama. In an interview on 27 December 2025, the star, who plays Kit Green, described the special episode titled 'Corriedale' as pure 'chaos' packed with major twists.

A 'Chaotic' Collision of Soap Worlds

Roberts confirmed that the episode centres on a dramatic multi-vehicle pile-up on a dark, stormy night, involving favourites from both iconic ITV soaps. He stated that the pace is so frantic, viewers won't have a moment to settle. "It goes from one to the other quite quickly," he explained. "You might be invested in one thing and then something completely different or chaotic happens. You haven't got time to invest, it's one thing after the other."

The actor teased that the action goes "from zero to a hundred" for his character, Kit, and emphasised that the shocks come thick and fast. "As soon as you are emotionally feeling something, something big happens straight away," Roberts revealed, hinting at the episode's unpredictable nature.

Consequences That Will Reshape Both Soaps

Perhaps the most significant revelation is the lasting impact of 'Corriedale'. Roberts admitted the fallout is substantial, confessing he struggled to keep spoilers secret. "There's a couple of characters it might change and it might change both soaps," he said. He even speculated this could become a more regular event, joking, "They might end up doing this all the time, you never know."

He was unequivocal about the long-term effects, stating: "This episode will change lives. Storylines will alter. You might hate people you might like people. You might change your opinions on some characters."

Behind the Scenes of the Crossover Event

Roberts also shared insights from filming the ambitious project. He expressed his delight at working closely with Alison King, who plays Carla Connor, as their characters team up to investigate the Swarla and Becky Swain mystery. "It's been nice to work with Ali," he said. "I've sided with Carla... so it's been nice to play the audience a tiny bit."

Despite the gruelling three-week night shoot, the actor felt "very privileged" to be part of the first-ever crossover and hopes for more in the future. He advised fans to brace for a rollercoaster of emotions, from anger and sadness to excitement.

Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX from January. The 'Corriedale' episode promises to be an unmissable, chaotic event that will send shockwaves through Weatherfield and Emmerdale village for a long time to come.
