Amanda Holden & Daughter Shine at Wicked Premiere in Magical Outfits
Amanda Holden & Daughter at Wicked: For Good Premiere

Britain's favourite television personality Amanda Holden created a magical spectacle on Monday evening as she attended the highly anticipated Wicked: For Good premiere in London's Leicester Square. The Heart FM presenter, 54, drew inspiration from Glinda the Good Witch for her show-stopping appearance.

A Magical Mother-Daughter Moment

Holden made a dramatic entrance in a pale pink gown with intricate ruche detailing, complete with a spectacular train and a daring thigh-high split that showcased her tanned legs. She was joined by her youngest daughter Hollie, 13, who perfectly complemented her mother's Glinda-inspired look by channelling Elphaba in a sophisticated satin green dress and matching heels.

The pair proudly posed together on the yellow brick road themed carpet at Cineworld in Leicester Square, creating a heartwarming mother-daughter moment amidst the glittering premiere atmosphere. The event attracted leading stars including Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, who play the iconic witches in the upcoming film adaptation.

Behind the Scenes of Family Life

This public appearance held special significance given Holden's recent revelations about her relationship with her teenage daughter. Just last month, the TV star admitted that Hollie often goes out of her way to avoid being seen with her famous mother, even crossing the road when spotted at school pickup.

"I picked Hollie up from her new school the other day and she does not want any connection with me," Holden told The Sun. "I got out of the car, she saw me and literally crossed the road." Her husband, music producer Chris Hughes, attempted to intervene by shouting that their daughter should be proud, but the teenager remained unimpressed.

Despite this typical teenage behaviour, Holden has always encouraged both her daughters - Lexi, 19, and Hollie - to stay grounded. "You do have to develop a thick skin and they both know that mummy has one," she explained, noting that while Lexi has signed with top modelling agency Storm, Hollie shows no interest in fame.

The Wicked Finale Approaches

The premiere celebrated the forthcoming conclusion to the beloved tale of Oz's famous witches, with the film scheduled for release on November 21. Based on the hugely successful musical that first premiered in 2003, Wicked: For Good sees the return of Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, and Ariana Grande as Glinda, the Good Witch of the North.

Interestingly, for the premiere, the leading ladies swapped their trademark pink and green looks for dark, sultry gowns, while Holden and her daughter embraced the classic colour scheme that has become synonymous with the Wicked brand.

The final trailer, released ahead of the November premiere, reveals the consequences of the first instalment, showing Elphaba living in exile while continuing her fight for freedom. Meanwhile, Glinda has become the symbol of goodness in Oz, preparing to marry Jonathan Bailey's character Prince Fiyero in the Emerald City.

As the people of Oz hunt for Elphaba, with one character carrying a bucket ominously labelled "Melt her," the stage is set for a dramatic conclusion to this magical story that has captivated audiences for decades.
