Actress Dasha Nekrasova fired after Nick Fuentes interview

Up-and-coming actress Dasha Nekrasova has been dropped by her talent agency and lost a major film role following her decision to host far-right commentator Nick Fuentes on her podcast.

The 34-year-old, best known for playing Comfrey Pellits in the hit series Succession, was also removed from the cast of the upcoming psychological thriller Ironclast after the interview sparked outrage within the industry.

The Controversial Podcast Episode

Nekrasova, who co-hosts the Red Scare podcast with Anna Khachiyan, interviewed Fuentes back in October. The lengthy two-and-a-half-hour video episode, titled 'Fuentanyl OD', featured discussions that perpetuated harmful stereotypes about Jewish people, Italians, and Asians.

During the conversation, the trio referenced 'international Jewery' multiple times and made controversial remarks about the Holocaust and immigrants from developing countries. The episode used still images throughout due to what the hosts described as technical problems.

A Pattern of Controversial Statements

This wasn't the first time Nekrasova had courted controversy with her public statements. In 2023, she was quoted in a New Yorker article making claims about the Pope and stating: 'You're not gonna get rid of the Freemasons, you're not gonna get rid of the Jews. They infiltrated the Church a long time ago.'

The actress, who boasts 140,000 Instagram followers and has credits in Mr. Robot, Dickinson, The Serpent and A24's Materialists, had her contract for Ironclast withdrawn before it was even formally signed as news of the Fuentes interview spread through Hollywood.

Who is Nick Fuentes?

Nick Fuentes, the 27-year-old political commentator at the centre of the storm, is widely considered the founder of the 'Groypers' movement. This group of young right-wing activists promotes an America First ideology and advocates for more extreme actions than mainstream conservatism.

Fuentes has a history of making anti-Semitic statements, including once comparing the Holocaust to baking cookies. He recently made headlines for his interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, during which they both expressed their dislike for what they termed 'Christian Zionists' like Mike Huckabee and Ted Cruz.

Carlson later defended his decision to interview Fuentes by pointing to comments made by Florida Representative Randy Fine, who had written '#bombsaway' in reference to Palestinian babies and described 'Palestinian' as 'just another word for demon'.

Daily Mail has reached out to the Gersh talent agency and an attorney representing Nekrasova for comment regarding her dismissal.
