MKR's Mel Bailey Sizzles in Coogee Bikini, Reveals TV Ambitions
MKR's Mel Bailey spotted in Coogee, eyes new reality TV

Reality television personality Mel Bailey, best known as one of the so-called 'villains' on My Kitchen Rules, was spotted enjoying a sunny weekend at Coogee's public pool. The star, who found fame alongside her cousin Jacinta, opted for a relaxed yet eye-catching look for her day out.

A Casual Day Out Turns Heads

On Saturday, Mel Bailey was seen cooling off at the popular coastal spot with a friend. She made a striking impression in a black bikini paired with tiny denim shorts, completing the casual ensemble with strappy sandals, sunglasses, and a Rage baseball cap in an attempt to stay low-key. The MKR contestant went makeup-free, styling her hair in a messy top knot.

Later, she was photographed laying out in the sun, having changed into her swimwear, which prominently displayed her distinctive tummy tattoo. The outing showcased the reality star's confident, off-duty style away from the kitchen.

From MKR 'Villains' to TV Dreamers

In a recent exclusive interview with the Daily Mail on SeaDeck, Mel and Jacinta opened up about their unexpected edit on the Channel Seven cooking competition and their ambitions for future television projects. The cousins, who were cast as the season's troublemakers, admitted they never saw it coming.

"Absolutely not," laughed Jacinta when asked if they predicted their 'villain' roles. "I thought we'd be the funny ones. We genuinely thought we were hilarious." Mel agreed, adding, "We're sassy, sure, but we thought we'd be the jokers. Call us villains, call us whatever."

Despite their fiery on-screen reputation, the duo insisted they had an incredible experience and are eager for more. "Yes, we'd do another reality show," Mel confirmed without hesitation. Jacinta elaborated on their ideal format, saying, "We want to do something travel-based... Travel Guides, maybe even The Amazing Race. Something fun, chaotic and wild. We love chaos."

Riding a Wave of Post-MKR Fame

The cousins' bond has only strengthened since their TV stint, with the pair frequently seen enjoying Sydney's social scene. "We always end up at the parties," Mel laughed. "We've had a lot of fun."

Their profile has been further boosted by a glamorous feature in the reimagined FHM magazine, where they appeared in the Woman of the Year issue. The pair starred in a sun-drenched bikini shoot for Ark Swimwear at Sydney's Milk Beach, cementing their status as rising entertainment personalities.

Their interview concluded in characteristic cheeky fashion, with the cousins hopping onto a boat mid-conversation and shouting, "We might've lost on MKR, but now we're on a boat, so we're all winners!" – a fitting summary of their post-show trajectory.
