Bella Hadid Unveils Striking New Look at Milan Fashion Week Event

Supermodel Bella Hadid made a stylish appearance at the Miss Sixty presentation during Milan Fashion Week on Friday, debuting a dramatic new hairstyle. The 29-year-old model sported a full fringe, a significant departure from her usual slicked-back looks, as she smiled for photographers at the event.

Denim Double and Fashion Forward Ensemble

Hadid rocked a coordinated double denim ensemble for the occasion, pairing a zip-front denim jacket with matching vintage-style flared jeans. She layered a crisp white high-neck top underneath the jacket and completed her fashionable outfit with striking red strappy heels and tinted sunglasses.

The Miss Sixty presentation marks the return of the event to Italy's fashion capital this week, with the fashion week schedule running through March 2. Top luxury brands are showcasing their Fall/Winter 2026-2027 collections during this prestigious industry gathering.

Health Challenges and Career Reflection

While Hadid has been a regular presence on Milan runways throughout her career, she has recently taken significant time away from modeling due to her ongoing battle with Lyme disease. The model has struggled with the chronic neurological condition for fourteen years and has been undergoing extensive treatment.

In a recent interview with Vogue Italia, Hadid revealed the profound impact her health has had on her career, stating she was forced to decline "every job for almost a year" during her treatment. She described this period as emotionally challenging, admitting she felt "disposable" when having to turn down opportunities.

Finding Balance and Setting Boundaries

The model has reflected deeply on her work-life balance, acknowledging that her previous work pace was "not sustainable." Hadid explained that even during the COVID-19 pandemic, she continued working at an intense pace.

"Being able to be in Texas with my horses and my dog, having a real life, and then going back to work makes it more fulfilling," Hadid told the publication. She has learned to be more selective about projects, now prioritizing collaborations with people she "loves, trusts, supports and respects."

Family Support and Public Advocacy

Hadid's mother, Yolanda Hadid, has been vocal about her daughter's health journey. In September, the Real Housewives star posted an emotional Instagram tribute to her "bada** warrior" daughter during a hospital stay.

"I admire your bravery and your willingness to keep fighting for health despite the falling protocols and countless setbacks you have faced," Yolanda wrote. She described the "darkness, pain, and unknown hell" her daughter has endured since her diagnosis, praising Bella's resilience as a survivor.

Yolanda herself contracted Lyme disease in 2012, along with her children Bella and Anwar. Though she has stepped back from sharing her personal health journey publicly to avoid "absorbing other people's opinions," she remains committed to finding affordable treatments for all sufferers.

In her book "Believe Me," Yolanda documented seeing 106 doctors and undergoing numerous treatments including Stem Cell transplant, Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and Chelation therapy. Back in 2023, she declared herself "finally healthy" and expressed pride in persevering through her health challenges.
