Downton Abbey fans have been urged to watch another period drama, hailed as a 'masterpiece' by viewers. Directed by Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes, From Time to Time boasts an A-list cast and is available on Amazon Prime Video.

Plot and Cast

Adapted from Lucy M. Boston's children's novel The Chimneys of Green Knowe, the fantasy drama is set towards the end of World War II. It follows teenager Tolly, who stays at his grandmother's house and is magically transported back in time, appearing as a ghost to his ancestors while solving a historic mystery.

The cast includes Alex Etel as Tolly, alongside legends such as Maggie Smith, Timothy Spall, Carice van Houten, Pauline Collins, Harriet Walter, Kwayedza Kureya, Douglas Booth, Hugh Bonneville, and Dominic West.

Julian Fellowes has addressed the possibility of Downton Abbey's return after its third and final film. He told Entertainment Weekly: 'That's a possibility. I've learned never to say never anymore.' He added that any return would need to be set in a different historical period.
