Victoria Beckham Gives Cruz Pep Talk After He Cries Singing About Brooklyn Rift
Victoria Beckham Pep Talks Cruz After Emotional Song About Brooklyn

Cruz Beckham has spoken for the first time about crying on stage while performing a song widely believed to be about his estrangement from brother Brooklyn, and how his mother Victoria helped him recover.

Emotional Debut Performance

The 21-year-old, youngest son of David and Victoria Beckham, broke down during his debut gig at the Courtyard Theatre in East London in March. In a new vlog, he admitted feeling 'embarrassed' to have cried in front of the audience.

Never-before-seen footage shows Cruz slumping against a corridor wall after the show, saying: 'I saw Romeo's face and I was like, ah, f***. Every part of the song I just wanted to look away and break down and I couldn't - and then having to sing through, crying. I just felt embarrassed as well.'

The song 'Loneliest Boy' is believed to allude to the family's rift with Brooklyn, 27, with lyrics including: 'Loneliest boy, I hope that you're listening, don't push all your friends away, when we're tryna show you love.'

Victoria's Pep Talk

The candid footage also shows Victoria Beckham giving her son a loving pep talk the morning after the performance. In the family's West London kitchen, Cruz asked: 'The vocals didn't sound like total crap, did they?'

Victoria replied: 'Not at all. I know that you're not happy with it. And we can always better ourselves. You are entertaining the crowd, you play an instrument, and you're singing - that is a lot. It's really impressive.'

She added: 'I know that I am your mum and I have not done this for a long time, but I know your voice. And if you ever need anyone to just sit there or watch... don't be thinking that you're sounding bad because you did not at all.'

Family Rift Deepens

The footage emerges amid the deepening rift with Brooklyn, who lives in Los Angeles with his wife Nicola Peltz. Brooklyn confirmed the long-rumored feud in January, stating on Instagram that he did not want to reconcile.

David and the family flew to Los Angeles last week for the former footballer's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, which Brooklyn did not attend. Hours later, sister Harper, 14, reportedly tried to visit Brooklyn's home but found him and Nicola absent.
