Actress Dame Joan Collins appeared on BBC's The One Show on Tuesday night (June 9) and fans were absolutely stunned by her youthful appearance and manner. The 93-year-old legend left viewers floored as she joined hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp on the green sofa alongside actor Adrian Lester.
Ageless Icon
Dame Joan was on the show to promote her latest role in the crime film A Murder Between Friends, but BBC viewers found themselves distracted by her youthful looks. One person on X said: 'Not only does Collins look good, but she talks like a much younger person. Very sharp.' Another added: 'Cant believe Joan Collins is 93!'
A third wrote: 'F*****g hell, Joan Collins is 93 and still acting, bl***y amazing! My mum is 15 years younger, has alzheimer's and struggles to walk. This lady is something else.'
Another person shared: 'Joan Collins looks amazing. THAT is how to grow old gracefully. If you have work done, which I assume she has, then make it authentic. She's 93, and looks fabulous.' Another commented: 'Wow, Joan Collins at 93! What a woman.'
New Film Role
During the show, the actress spoke about her new role as Francesca Carlyle, a famous TV detective, in the film. She told Alex and Roman: 'This was written for me! She is quite flamboyant and very sassy and has a line of sarcasm that is quite like her cousin Alexis Colby (from Dynasty).
'Which is how I kind of based her on that in a way, because she is a TV actress, but she also lives in this old castle, which is rumoured to be haunted. She rents it out, so this young group of people come, these 20-somethings, to have a holiday, and all of a sudden, some ghastly things start to happen.
'I won't say what, you have to watch it, but some people do not come out alive. Francesca, who is very smart, decides that she will help them, so she pulls out all the stops.'
Although the film has been out in America since January, it is getting released this month in the UK and will be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Sky Store, and Virgin Movies.
A synopsis for the film reads: 'When six friends vacation at the country estate of a true-crime TV star, the last thing they expect to find is someone murdered in a hot tub! Everyone is a suspect as they try to determine who among them would have the means, motive and opportunity.'
