English actor Tom Holland, aged 29, appears to have sustained an injury, as he was photographed sporting an orthopedic boot while leaving the upscale Beverly Hills restaurant Matsuhisa on Wednesday. The Spider-Man star cut a casual figure in black trousers and a grey T-shirt, hobbling out of the celebrity hotspot. Despite the unknown ankle ailment, Tom seemed in high spirits following an evening spent with friends.
Marriage Speculation Intensifies
Tom's outing occurs amidst swirling reports that he has secretly wed his fiancée Zendaya, also 29. This speculation ignited last week when Zendaya was pictured wearing a subtle gold wedding band on her finger, replacing her dazzling engagement ring. The couple had confirmed their engagement at the Golden Globes last year, after Tom proposed in an intimate setting in 2024.
Fans have rapidly taken to social media to voice their theories, with one writing emphatically: 'ZENDAYA IS MARRIED TO TOM ALREADY OMG SHES A WIFEY'. In recent images, Zendaya looked chic in a white jacket and black trousers as she mingled with film producer Josh Liberman in Los Angeles, receiving warm hugs from friends and colleagues.
Privacy and Professional Balance
Zendaya has previously opened up about how she and Tom navigate their romance alongside their demanding careers, while fiercely guarding their privacy. In an interview with the Daily Mirror, she remarked, 'Honestly, I know people might think it's awkward. On set, he has this huge calming presence that not only puts me at ease but also everybody he works with.'
She added, 'I might be a little biased but he is not only my favorite person, he is my favorite person to work with. Neither of us want to hide and not live our lives and do normal things, like go out for dinner, but at the same time, we want to protect our privacy.'
Zendaya explained that while some aspects of privacy are beyond their control, they fiercely protect what they can. The couple splits their time between Tom's home in Richmond, West London, and Zendaya's residence in California, where she has lived most of her life. Despite being born in Oakland and moving to southern California as a teenager, Zendaya expressed her adoration for living in England.
Career Beginnings and Upcoming Projects
Reflecting on her early start in entertainment as a child star on Disney Channel's Shake It Up, Zendaya noted, 'I have a really complicated relationship when it comes to starting in the industry so young. On one hand, I am grateful for the opportunities and experience; then, on the other, there is no doubt I missed out on a lot of regular teenage stuff.'
Tom and Zendaya first met while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016. Romance rumours began the following year, and they confirmed their relationship in July 2021 after being photographed kissing in a car. Both are set to star in Christopher Nolan's upcoming epic The Odyssey, premiering on July 17, and will appear together again in the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie, releasing on July 31.
Additionally, Zendaya is preparing for the release of Euphoria's third and final season. Her first project this year is The Drama, an A24 romantic thriller where she stars alongside British actor Robert Pattinson as a couple whose relationship unravels before their wedding. Written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli, the film premieres on April 3.
Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for both Tom Holland and Zendaya for comments on the injury and marriage rumours, but no statements have been issued at this time.
