TikTok Star's Tragic Death Investigated After Recent Car Accident
The sudden death of popular TikTok personality Marquay 'The Goat' Collins at just 24 years old is now being investigated for a potential connection to a serious car accident that occurred earlier this month.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan told TMZ that Marquay was pronounced dead at his home on Wednesday, just over two weeks after being involved in a collision on November 7.
The Fateful Accident and Subsequent Symptoms
According to reports, a Tesla allegedly struck the back of the influencer's BMW while he was driving in Atlanta. Marquay documented the immediate aftermath on his social media accounts, showing significant damage to both vehicles.
In an Instagram video posted shortly after the crash, Marquay expressed his distress, stating: 'I can't make this up. A Tesla literally just ran into the back of my car and my head is literally killing me right now... this is insane.'
He was taken to hospital following the collision, evaluated, and released the same day. However, the coroner revealed that Marquay continued to experience severe symptoms in the weeks that followed, including:
- Persistent headaches
- Pain in his neck, shoulder, and spine
- Shortness of breath
Marquay reportedly informed his brother about these ongoing health issues shortly before his passing.
Official Investigation and Family Tributes
While the case has been formally ruled as undetermined, Coroner Bryan believes the accident likely played a role in the young star's death. An autopsy will be conducted at the Georgia Bureau of Investigations as the investigation continues.
Marquay's mother, Sonja Collins, announced her son's passing on Instagram, writing: 'My heart is broken. My baby, my last one, my SnuggaBug, my Marquay is no longer here with me.'
She described her son as 'the sweetest person' who didn't have a mean bone in his body, adding that he had been studying at Georgia State University alongside his social media career.
The influencer, who had amassed nearly 7 million followers on TikTok and another 500,000 on Instagram, was known for his love of fast cars, food reviews, and comedic sketches often featuring his parents.
His final TikTok post, uploaded just one day before his death, was flooded with emotional messages from devastated fans mourning the loss of the young creator.
