Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman Witnessed Ryan Reynolds' Fat-Shaming Confrontation
Swift and Jackman Present During Reynolds' Baldoni Confrontation

Newly unsealed legal documents have revealed that music superstar Taylor Swift and actor Hugh Jackman were present during an explosive confrontation between Ryan Reynolds and Justin Baldoni over allegations of fat-shaming directed at Blake Lively.

The Penthouse Confrontation

According to an email from Baldoni's Wayfarer Studios team obtained by DailyMail.com, the dramatic incident occurred around April 25, 2023 at Reynolds and Lively's New York City penthouse. The document claims that Taylor Swift, 35, and Hugh Jackman, 57, were inside the residence when Reynolds, 49, "unloaded" on Baldoni during the heated exchange.

The confrontation centred around Baldoni's decision to ask Lively's personal trainer about her weight while preparing for a lift scene in their film It Ends With Us. Reynolds reportedly accused Baldoni of "fat shaming Blake" and described the question as "how horrible it was that Justin would ask about a woman's weight."

Emotional Aftermath and Legal Fallout

The newly revealed timeline of events states that Baldoni became "completely embarrassed and apologized and even shared some tears" during the confrontation. Baldoni has maintained that his inquiry about Lively's weight stemmed from legitimate concerns about his own back issues, including multiple bulging discs and chronic pain.

This incident has since become part of an ongoing legal battle between Lively and Baldoni. In December 2024, Lively sued Baldoni and others, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation - claims that he strongly denies. Their trial is scheduled for March 2026.

Celebrity Witnesses and Strained Relationships

Both Swift and Jackman were previously listed as potential witnesses by Lively's legal team, highlighting their presence during the key incident. The documents reveal that Swift's name has surfaced multiple times in the legal proceedings, with Baldoni previously claiming that the pop star and Reynolds pressured him into accepting one of Lively's rewrites for the film.

Swift's representatives have vehemently denied any substantial involvement with the film, stating she "never set foot on the set of this movie" and was "traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history." Her team emphasised that her only connection to the project was permitting the use of her song "My Tears Ricochet."

Meanwhile, Jackman has shown public support for Lively by attending the It Ends With Us premiere in New York City on August 9, 2024 and appearing with her on the cover of Vogue's September 2024 issue.

The legal documents also shed light on the circumstances surrounding Swift's presence at the penthouse meeting. According to TMZ reports, Lively reportedly asked Swift to come to her home without explaining the full circumstances. A source close to Swift suggested the singer believed Lively had "timed her meeting" to ensure she would encounter Baldoni.

This revelation comes amid reports that Swift and Lively have experienced a falling out since the legal drama unfolded, adding another layer of complexity to the already contentious situation involving some of Hollywood's biggest names.
