Spencer's Heartfelt Tribute from Afar
Spencer Matthews has openly shared his immense pride for his wife, Vogue Williams, as she bravely continues her journey on the hit reality show I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! The 37-year-old television personality, currently embarked on his own monumental challenge, took to social media to post a gushing tribute about how much he misses his 40-year-old wife.
Despite being in the midst of an incredible personal mission to complete seven full Ironman triathlons on seven continents in just 21 days, Spencer revealed he has been watching Vogue's jungle antics 'as much as he can'. His emotional Instagram post laid bare the depth of his feelings, stating it was 'Impossible to love this woman more.'
A Love That Transforms
In his candid social media revelation, Spencer didn't just praise Vogue for her current jungle endeavours but reflected on her profound impact on his entire life. He credited his wife with helping him become a better person, admitting that 'admiring her when we first met and wanting to be more like her helped me become a better person.'
'I probably wouldn’t have achieved half the things I’m now proud of if it weren’t for her,' he wrote, highlighting her role in his personal growth and successes. The Made in Chelsea star expressed the strangeness of their separation, noting that he sometimes forgets they cannot communicate and feels a wave of sadness when he realises he cannot call her to share his daily experiences.
Clashing Schedules and Family Sacrifices
The couple's time apart is compounded by the fact that Spencer will not be flying to Australia for the iconic bridge reunion, a tradition for many I'm A Celebrity contestants. This is due to his unwavering commitment to his extreme athletic challenge, which follows his previous feat of running 30 marathons in 30 days in the desert last year.
A source close to the couple described the timing as 'unfortunate' but unavoidable, with both of their demanding schedules clashing. Neither commitment could be moved, leaving Spencer to support his wife from afar. The source explained, 'Of course, Spencer would want nothing more than to support Vogue in Australia... but both committed to their own projects, and unfortunately, the schedules overlap.'
This separation also means being away from their three young children: Theodore, seven, Gigi, five, and Otto, three, who will remain in London. The children will continue their school routines while supporting their famous parents from a distance, likely catching their mother on television whenever possible.
In a previous post, Spencer had enthusiastically confirmed Vogue's participation in the show, writing, 'Delighted that I no longer need to sidestep this rumour!! It’s true, she’s in!!' He praised her as 'fearless and gorgeous' not just on television, but in life, and described her as his best friend and a perfect mother. He concluded his heartfelt message by assuring her, 'The kids and I are behind you every step of the way.'
