Selena Gomez made a rare swimsuit appearance during an all-girls getaway to the luxurious five-star Rosewood resort, Las Ventanas al Paraíso, in San José del Cabo on Saturday. The 33-year-old pop star, who is a third-generation Mexican-American, flaunted her 5ft5in figure in a strapless, light pink-patterned one-piece that revealed the lasered-off praying hands tattoo on her thigh.
Notable Slimmer Figure Compared to Previous Vacation
Gomez looked noticeably slimmer than during her 2023 Cabo vacation with her so-called 'throuple' partners, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz. The Rare Beauty founder protected her alabaster complexion with a beige sunhat as she explored the pristine beachfront overlooking the Sea of Cortez.
Friends Join the Beachside Fun
On the lapping shoreline, Gomez was accompanied by two friends: one wearing a cranberry-colored one-piece and another in a black bikini. Later, the Cannes best actress winner sought shelter inside a covered cabana where two more gal pals relaxed. Gomez sat cross-legged on a daybed, bonding with her crew, while a tall pitcher of water sat beside her sun lounger in the 75-degree winter weather.
Sun-Soaked Relaxation and Yacht Adventure
Wearing dark sunglasses, Gomez soaked up the sunshine to bronze her body, occasionally removing her sunhat while lounging. She also boarded an Azimut-brand yacht for a cruise along the Los Cabos coastline with her bikini-clad entourage.
Nina Dobrev's Daring Stunt
Also on the yacht was Vampire Diaries alum Nina Dobrev, who wore a black-and-white-dotted caftan and black sunhat. The newly single 37-year-old used what appeared to be a Super 8 camera to film Gomez, who was in a sheer white caftan over a black swimsuit. Dobrev then removed her cover-up to reveal a tiny black string bikini that barely covered her assets. Gomez beamed as the Canadian-Bulgarian beauty daringly jumped off the yacht, with friends capturing the stunt on their cell phones.
Upcoming Awards and Career Highlights
Gomez and the Only Murders in the Building producing team are nominated for the Danny Thomas Award for outstanding producer of episodic television comedy at the 37th Producers Guild of America Awards this Saturday in LA. Additionally, Gomez and her OMITB castmates will compete for the outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series trophy at the newly renamed 32nd Actor Awards, airing March 1 on Netflix.
Fierce Competition and Future Projects
The talented group faces stiff competition from ensembles of Apple TV's The Studio, HBO Max's Hacks, FX's The Bear, and ABC's Abbott Elementary. Last October, Hulu renewed Steve Martin and John Hoffman's who-done-it comedy for a sixth season, with Gomez reportedly earning over $600,000 per episode to produce and star as artist Mabel Mora. She is also set to portray 11-time Grammy winner Linda Ronstadt in David O. Russell's untitled biopic, produced by her former manager John Boylan.
