In a heart-warming and highly anticipated segment, McFly star Tom Fletcher is set to share the Strictly Come Dancing stage with none other than the nation's favourite bear from Peru. The special performance is scheduled for the show's spectacular Musicals Week quarter-final.
A Bear-y Special Guest Star
Tom Fletcher, a former Strictly contestant himself, has a unique connection to the beloved character. He composed the music and lyrics for the new stage musical featuring Paddington. His involvement promises a charming and personal touch to the routine. He won't be the only special guest, however, as the cast of the Olivier Award-winning musical parody Titanique will also make an appearance.
Strictly's First-Ever Dance Relay
The quarter-final will also see the introduction of a brand-new format to the competition: a dance relay. This is a first for Strictly Come Dancing. The five remaining couples will perform a continuous five-minute routine, expertly choreographed by Matt Flint.
The relay will feature performances inspired by various hit musicals. The couples taking part include:
- Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin
- Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon
- Karen Carney and Carlos Gu
