The event comes shortly after Kardashian revealed a little-known personal detail about her name. She recently told Time magazine that she was known as Kimberly until just before the 2007 debut of 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians'. Upon seeing the chyron at the bottom of the screen read 'Kimberly Kardashian', she decided it was too lengthy.
'I said, "I think that's so long for people to say." And like, "Let's just shorten it to Kim,"' she explained. She noted that old friends and her father still call her by her full name, Kimberly.
