Kidman & Urban's Nashville Standoff: Divorced Couple's Unusual Coexistence

The Unusual Post-Divorce Living Arrangement

In a scenario that defies the classic Western movie trope of "this town ain't big enough for the both of us," recently divorced couple Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are both maintaining deep roots in Nashville, Tennessee. Despite their marriage ending, neither appears willing to relinquish their established lives in the country music capital.

Shared Spaces and Parenting Duties

Keith Urban lived in Nashville first, drawn by its status as the heart of country music, with Kidman later joining him in the city. Together they raised their two daughters, Sunday Rose (17) and Faith (14), in an impressive property within the gated Northumberland community.

Following their separation, Kidman has remained in the family home while Urban has moved into temporary accommodation described as "very nearby." Both have been spotted separately shopping at the same Whole Foods store in the Franklin Hills suburb, and they continue to use the same hairdresser, Ashley Wahler, in neighbouring Franklin.

While it remains unclear whether they still attend the same church, their children continue at the same school. A custody agreement signed by Urban in August gives Kidman the girls for 306 days of the year, while Urban gets them for 59 days, including Thanksgiving.

The Divorce and Ongoing Projects

Kidman filed for divorce in September, citing irreconcilable differences, with matters appearing to be resolved swiftly. Friends confirm the actress has no plans to leave Nashville anytime soon, particularly as she begins filming the new series of Scarpetta in the city next spring.

The series, based on Patricia Cornwell's bestselling novels about pathologist Dr Kay Scarpetta, will see its first season released on Prime Video on March 11. Jamie Lee Curtis plays Scarpetta's sister Dorothy in the production.

Kidman and Urban married in June 2006 and were last seen together this June. Fans noted that during his High And Alive World Tour this summer, Urban stopped mentioning his wife, having previously always referenced his 'babygirl' during performances.

Rumours and Speculation

When news of the divorce broke publicly, sources told People magazine that Kidman felt "hurt and betrayed" and had been fighting to save the marriage. TMZ went further, quoting a Kidman source suggesting "all the signs point to the fact Keith is with another woman."

Urban has been linked with 25-year-old singer, guitarist and classically trained violinist Maggie Baugh, who plays with his band. However, country singer Alexandra Kay dismissed these rumours, stating she knows "that's absolutely not true" and that Baugh has a boyfriend.

The singer-songwriter has also been connected to Karley Scott Collins, a 25-year-old opening act on his tour who is signed to Sony Music in Nashville and CAA in LA. A July Instagram photo showed them with arms around each other, though Collins has spoken of Urban in professional terms, calling him "an incredible entertainer" whom she respects "so much."

Both Kidman's and Urban's teams have declined to comment on the swirling rumours about their separation and subsequent relationships.
