Strictly's Karen Hauer Celebrates 2-Year Anniversary After Toxic Marriage
Karen Hauer marks 2 years with boyfriend after divorce

Strictly Come Dancing star Karen Hauer has publicly celebrated her second anniversary with boyfriend Simon Davidson, sharing rare romantic snaps on Instagram that showcase their loving relationship.

Moving On From a Toxic Past

The 43-year-old professional dancer has found happiness with former rugby player Simon Davidson, 35, after what she describes as a deeply challenging marriage to Jordan Wyn-Jones. Karen married Jordan in 2022 after meeting online, but their relationship lasted just 16 months before ending in divorce.

In a recent emotional interview on Paul C. Brunson's We Need To Talk podcast, Karen revealed the extent of her suffering during her third marriage. She accused her ex-husband of leaving her 'emotionally battered' and described living in constant 'panic mode' throughout their relationship.

A Joyful Celebration

Marking their two-year milestone on Saturday, Karen posted multiple loved-up photographs with Simon on Instagram. The collection included pictures of the couple cosying up at a concert, with Simon lifting Karen for a kiss, and romantic shots from their luxury holidays together.

Alongside the images, Karen wrote a heartfelt caption: '2 years…..You've got all my love ♥️ Happy anniversary.' The post also featured adorable selfies and pictures of the couple enjoying time with their two dogs by a lake.

Overcoming Past Trauma

Karen's current happiness contrasts sharply with her previous experience. She revealed that the stress of her marriage to Jordan was so severe that she began suffering from hair loss due to autoimmune disease alopecia, which she believes was her nervous system's response to the constant pressure.

The dancer disclosed that even on her wedding day, her brother confronted her about needing to leave the relationship. 'Everyone was trying to stop this from happening,' she recalled, adding that she wished someone had physically prevented the marriage.

Despite selling their wedding photos to Hello! magazine and describing the day as a 'fairytale' at the time, Karen now admits the reality was very different. She described Jordan's behaviour as emotionally damaging, saying 'He didn't hurt me physically so you couldn't see it. It was there, digging, digging, digging.'

Following their separation, Karen says Jordan made their divorce 'difficult' and tried everything to regain control. The couple had originally connected when Jordan, who was living in Sydney at the time, began following her on Instagram. After exchanging messages and regular FaceTime calls, the businessman relocated to the UK for their relationship.

Karen's journey from a toxic marriage to her current happy relationship with Simon serves as an inspiring story of resilience and finding love after hardship.
