Jungle chaos has erupted once again on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! as producers uncovered a new contraband item just days after implementing an amnesty box to curb rule-breaking.
The Butter Discovery That Shook the Camp
Despite the clear warning issued to all contestants following previous incidents, one determined campmate successfully smuggled a sachet of butter into the Australian jungle. The deception was only discovered by show bosses, who revealed that the culprit had deliberately avoided placing the forbidden item in the newly installed amnesty box.
A show source told the Daily Mail: 'It's been a day of twists and turns with more contraband found and the consequences of this rule break has rocked the whole camp.' The revelation has created fresh tension among the celebrities, who now face potential collective punishment for the secret butter stash.
A History of Jungle Smuggling
This isn't the first time contraband has caused drama in the camp. Earlier in the series, Alex Scott, the 41-year-old former Lioness and Football Focus presenter, was caught on camera secretly adding salt to the camp's rice during dinner preparation.
The aftermath of what became known as 'Saltgate' was severe. Show bosses punished the entire camp by removing one star from that night's meal, significantly reducing their food provisions. This led to the introduction of the amnesty box, giving campmates a final opportunity to surrender any hidden items without further penalty.
The salt scandal deepened when it was revealed that EastEnders actress Shona McGarty, 34, had also been hiding contraband. She had stolen an air freshener from one of the trials and concealed it in her waistband before placing it in the camp toilet, known as the dunny.
Confessions and Consequences
In her first interview since being voted off the show on Friday, Alex Scott openly discussed her smuggling tactics with the Daily Mail. 'We didn't have luxury items this year so on the way in, I stopped and got a chicken salad, how boring,' she explained.
'And then there was all these sachets of salt and pepper, so I was like, "Let me just pick up a few, and see if I can manage to get them in camp." And I put them down my sock on the coming in day and managed to get it in.'
Scott revealed that fellow contestant Jack Osbourne, 41, knew about the salt from the beginning as he was on cooking duty and she would pass it to him on a spoon. She also recalled that social media sensation Angry Ginge, 24, had spotted her one night and 'kept giving me the eye'.
The salt saga reached its climax on Scott's final day in camp when she passed the empty packet to Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley, who reportedly started screaming in the dunny upon discovering what it was.
With the butter scandal now unfolding, viewers are left wondering what punishment awaits the camp and whether this latest deception will lead to even stricter measures from the show's producers.
