GK Barry's 2016 Throwback: Loose Women Star's Unrecognisable Teenage Selfie
GK Barry's Unrecognisable 2016 Throwback on Loose Women

A popular Loose Women panellist has left viewers stunned after sharing a teenage photo where she looks completely different from her current on-screen persona.

The Viral Trend Hits ITV's Daytime Show

During the episode aired on Friday, January 16, 2026, the show's presenters joined in with the social media trend "2026 is the new 2016." This online movement has encouraged people everywhere to dig out photos and videos from a decade ago to compare with their lives today.

Kaye Adams, GK Barry, Nadia Sawalha, and Jane Moore all participated by revealing their own snapshots from 2016. The most dramatic transformation, however, belonged to fan favourite GK Barry, whose real name is Grace Keeling.

Grace Keeling's Dramatic Decade of Change

The shared photo shows a 16-year-old Grace posing for a mirror selfie. In the image, she sports dark hair tied in a bun and wears a pair of glasses. Her outfit consisted of ripped black skinny jeans, a khaki jumper, and a black parka coat.

This look is a stark contrast to the 26-year-old television personality audiences know today, who is now recognised for her signature blonde hair. Barry rose to further fame after appearing on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

The other panellists also shared memorable moments from 2016:

  • Jane Moore posed with the late Dame Barbara Windsor on the day Windsor received her MBE.
  • Nadia Sawalha shared a picture of herself in a blue wig backstage at Loose Women.
  • Kaye Adams posted a festive snap of her and Nadia in matching tops.

Competition presenter Jeff Brazier also joined in, sharing a holiday photo of himself with his sons, Bobby and Freddie, on a beach in St. Kitts.

A New Era for the ITV Show

This light-hearted segment comes as Loose Women adapts to significant changes behind the scenes. The show returned in 2026 without a studio audience.

This move is part of broader changes at ITV, which have included hundreds of job losses. The broadcaster has relocated several shows, including Loose Women, from its old studios in West London to a much smaller home in Covent Garden. The new space does not have room to accommodate a live audience of fans.

Loose Women continues to air weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 12.30pm.
