Global music superstar Enrique Iglesias and his long-term partner, former tennis champion Anna Kournikova, have announced the arrival of their fourth child. The couple shared the happy news with fans via a joint Instagram post, offering a rare glimpse into their famously private family life.
A Joyful Announcement on Social Media
The couple confirmed the birth by posting a serene image of their newborn resting peacefully in a crib, accompanied by a soft toy. They captioned the sweet snapshot simply, "My Sunshine 12.17.2025," revealing the baby's birth date. This new addition joins their three older children: seven-year-old twins Nicholas and Lucy, and five-year-old Mary, who is also known by her Russian name, Masha.
The announcement brings particular joy following a period of concern for Kournikova's health earlier in the year. The 44-year-old was photographed using a wheelchair and wearing a protective boot on her foot, though she appeared to have fully recovered by the time she was seen out with her children in Miami this month.
A Private Life in the Spotlight
Iglesias and Kournikova, who first met on the set of his Escape music video in 2001, are known for fiercely guarding their privacy. Despite this, the singer has occasionally opened up about the joys of fatherhood. In an interview with HOLA! last year, he emphasised that his family is his main priority, stating he loves "watching them grow... Every day that passes they grow very quickly and I want to enjoy it."
He also praised Kournikova's maternal instincts in a conversation with The Sun, saying, "It's incredible to watch her be such a great mother." While Iglesias has referred to her as his wife in the past, he later clarified they are not married, explaining that he doesn't believe "a piece of paper" defines the strength of their relationship or their commitment as parents.
From Tennis Courts to Family Life
Anna Kournikova retired from professional tennis 22 years ago, having peaked at world number eight in singles in 2000 and winning doubles titles at the Australian Open in 1999 and 2002. Despite never winning a singles Grand Slam, her semi-final run at Wimbledon in 1997 and her dynamic partnership with Martina Hingis made her a global icon, once dubbed the "Spice Girls of tennis."
Since stepping away from the sport, she has maintained an extremely low public profile, with her last social media post dating back to Father's Day in June 2024. The couple, who reside in Miami, now focus their energy on their growing family, celebrating this latest chapter with the quiet joy of their new "Sunshine."
